Derived from the type of netting seen on glass net floats, the netted necklace is a talisman of a naturally polished beach stone secured in fine linen netting. The linen cord neck loop is adjustable so the necklace can be worn long, or as a choker.

Tim Whitten | Artist Tim Whitten’s hobby of rope work, known as fancy marlinespike seamanship, went from pastime to vocation when he set up shop in the coastal Maine town of Stonington in 2008. Now he spends his time knotting beckets, fenders, bellhops and seabags in his studio as well as finely detailed nautical jewelry.
