LONDON

There always seems to be a tantalising wait between each issue of the nostalgia-rich, photography-led, Kennedy—and it’s always worth it. Based in Athens, this biannual journal whisks readers to a new city with every issue, and this time it’s our very own London.

A meandering editorial opens this London edition, with editor-in-chief Chris Kontos musing on a night spent in a tiny Georgian cafe in the ‘rather weird neighbourhood’ of South Ken. Sat in this exceedingly mediocre café, he ponders all the lives running parallel to his own and the serenity to be found in such seemingly mundane moments.

Elsewhere, you’ll find a selection of interviews, including conversations with Café Deco chef Anna Tobias, the iconic culinary duo Margot and Fergus Henderson—the pioneering forces behind St. John and Rochelle Canteen and leading advocates of modern British dining, and The Charlatans’ lead singer Tim Burgess. All of this, plus atmospheric editorials shot by Chris and Matthew Coles, alongside visits to landmark institutions such as Sweetings and Bar Italia.
