Bookplates have been around since The Middle Ages, beginning as functional items produced by stationery salesmen, and later evolving into highly stylized labels created by artists. This particular bookplate set was adapted from a 1920s book cover by the Dutch artist Julie De Graag. Each bookplate is adhesive and can be stuck to the inside of a book, the outside of a journal, or wherever else your heart desires.
