Made especially for Reliquary by our long time friend, the clever and ingenious textile artist, Cassie McGettigan. Each pillow is hand cut, arranged, sewn, quilted and lovingly pieced together using found, re-purposed and dead-stock fabrics and features a beautiful 4 button closure on one side to easily remove insert for washing. This particular pillow is constructed using dead-stock fabrics from Cass's personal collection, scraps from R.I.C.E. (Rhode Island Color Experiment), found fabrics from the New Canaan Thrift Store & a pair of old Levis from a free box.

Cassie McGettigan is a textile designer, researcher, and trail walker who works primarily in fabric silkscreen. In 2008, she co-founded Gravel & Gold, a design collective and shop in San Francisco. She received an MFA in Textiles from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2018. She now lives and maintains a studio practice in Bolinas, California. Lately there has been a lot of quilting.
