OK Sea Salt is a women-owned small business established by Onya Hogan-Finlay and Kim Kelly, based in Mi'kma'ki / Nova Scotia, Canada. As a queer couple with backgrounds in DIY art projects, education, and landscape design, they bring a passion for community building to their partnership as salt farmers. The idea to make sea salt 'crystalized' after the couple moved from Southern California to Atlantic Canada and boiled down a cauldron full of seawater collected on a coastal walk. The first batch of sea salt was so tasty and crisp, they decided to make a business of it.
